Need a hand with Flipping Tiles! The Matching Game? Email us at support@nctrnlstudios.com and we’ll get back to you.
Flip two tiles to find matching pairs. At the start of each board, every tile is shown for a moment so you can memorise it, and then they all flip face down. Clear every pair to finish the board.
Ten matches in a row unlocks a 30-second bonus board worth extra points. When it ends, the board you were on starts over with a fresh look.
You can pause only before a board is shown. If you leave a board that is already in progress, that board is forfeited and your run continues at the next part.
Tap NEW RUN on the main menu.
Turn them off in the Game’s Settings, or on iPhone in iOS Settings › Notifications › Flipping Tiles!, or on Android in the phone’s Settings › Apps › Flipping Tiles! › Notifications. On iPhone, to stop the Game checking friends’ scores in the background, turn off iOS Settings › General › Background App Refresh.
iPhone: Game Center is part of iOS. Open iOS Settings › Game Center and sign in with your Apple Account. Once you are signed in, the leaderboard, achievements and friends’ scores appear in the Game automatically. Game Center is optional and you can play the whole Game without it.
Android: Google Play Games signs you in automatically if you have a Play Games profile, or you can tap SIGN IN on the Game’s leaderboard screen. It is optional too.
Flipping Tiles! is free to play and shows ads from Google. There is one optional in-app purchase, Remove Ads (US$2.99, a one-time purchase), which removes all ads for good.
Ads are what keep the Game free. They are full-screen and appear only at breaks: when you leave a game and go back to the main menu, between Levels 3 and 4, 6 and 7, and 9 and 10, and when you reopen the app onto the main menu (never on the very first launch). You will never see one while a board is being played, and you will see at most one ad every two minutes.
Open the Game’s Settings and tap Remove Ads. It is a one-time purchase of US$2.99 in the US (Apple and Google Play set local prices) and it removes all ads for good. Apple (iPhone) or Google Play (Android) processes the payment; we never see your payment details.
iPhone: tap Restore Purchases in the Game’s Settings, signed in with the same Apple Account you used to buy it. The purchase is non-consumable, so it restores on any device on that account at no extra cost. If it still does not come back, email us and include the date of purchase.
Android: tap RESTORE in the Game’s Settings, signed in to Google Play with the same Google Account you used to buy it.
Purchases don’t carry over between iPhone and Android.
iPhone: refunds are handled by Apple at https://reportaproblem.apple.com. Android: refunds go through Google Play’s refund process.
iPhone: go to iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking and turn tracking off for Flipping Tiles!. You will still see ads, but they will be non-personalized.
Android: reset or delete the advertising ID in the phone’s ad settings (Settings › Privacy › Ads, or Settings › Google › Ads, depending on the phone).
In the EEA, UK and Switzerland, and in US states where it applies, you can also open Settings › Privacy Choices in the Game. That is where EEA/UK/Switzerland players change their consent, and where US-state players find “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information”.
You can also buy Remove Ads, which stops ads entirely. Declining tracking or consent never limits the Game. Every level and feature works the same; the ads are just less relevant.
Email support@nctrnlstudios.com with the time you saw the ad and a short description or a screenshot. We will report it to Google and block the advertiser where we can. Ads in Flipping Tiles! are set to general-audience (G) content only, so anything else should not be appearing.
On your iPhone or Android phone only. Deleting the app deletes your progress, settings and saved run. See the Privacy Policy.
No. Your progress, your saved run and Remove Ads stay with the store and the phone they were made on. On Android, Android’s own backup can restore the Game’s save on a new Android phone.
